Farm Woodland Management

For farms/estates with woodland established under older rural payment schemes, this woodland may now be coming to an age requiring a first thinning.

To ensure staff are not diverted from agricultural tasks and where it would simply be uneconomic to employ large machinery, we can provide a cost effective solution. We are mindful of delicate soil conditions associated with farming and are also well versed in the more often than not inaccessible nature of these woodlands.

Felled timber can either be left in the woodland as stacked cord, recovered to the woodland perimeter, roadside or farmyard. A splitting service is also offered should you wish to use the timber as the excellent source of heating fuel it is.
