Although generally more visible than their wild brethren, Park deer are still a wild animal with their inherent unpredictability.

To maintain a healthy and productive herd, numbers should be carefully managed in line with the environment they have access to. By managing both assets, a strong, healthy and disease free herd will result. This will result in a strong healthy herd more able to deal with our unpredictable weather conditions. 

Deer management plans are now required as part of a number of grant scheme applications. Make sure yours is up to date and effective, ensuring you do not fall foul of any associated conditions.
